February 24th marks Canuck Place’s third-annual Cookie Day. The event was established as a way to engage schools across the province of B.C. to sell cookies and raise funds for the children at Canuck Place. Since 2019, Cookie Day has raised over $60,000 for the children’s hospice, with more than 80 schools and 15 bakeries participating.
Canuck Place is B.C. and the Yukon’s only pediatric palliative care provider, caring for more than 800 children with life-threatening illnesses and the families who love them. Canuck Place gives warmth and nourishment during times when families need it most—often in the form of fresh-baked cookies from their kitchen.
If you’d like to participate in Cookie Day this year, there are many ways to get involved! Sign up your school, business or organization to hold a bake sale and raise funds.
If you’re not up for baking yourself, check out these bakeries and businesses (aka the Canuck Place Cookie Club) that have committed to donating partial proceeds from the sale of cookies and other treats throughout February and March.
And if you’d rather just donate, you can give whatever amount you’re able to here in support of Canuck Place.
