We're showcasing Vancouver's best restaurants and special menu items—and why they should be your next meal
Restaurant: Coast
Location: 1054 Alberni Street, Vancouver
The Dish: Lobster and Seafood Paella
The Details: Looking for a delicious, authentic, rustic—yet decadent—paella in the city? We’ve found it! Head down to Coast restaurant on Sundays and indulge in chef Fernando’s paella feast, featuring lobster, calamari, prawns, mussels and clams on a bed of warm, comforting saffron rice.
As this is a super-filling meal, we recommend starting with some lighter appies, like the salmon aburi roll (avocado, cucumber, miso mayo, crunchy chilli) or the scallop crudo (tomatillo, Serrano pepper, cilantro, cucumber).
And don’t leave without dessert! Our faves include the Warm Banana and Coconut Butter Cake (caramelized banana purée and crème Anglaise), the Carrot Cake (pecans, cranberries, cream cheese frosting) and the Chocolate Mousse with passionfruit.
Available now; $85 for two people or $170 for four people; reservations recommend
