The Dish: Pad Si Ew meal kit
The Details: We can't wait to try this! Chef Angus An of acclaimed Vancouver restaurant Maenam has collaborated with Fresh Prep to create a Pad Si Ew meal kit based on the recipe from his cookbook, A Fresh Approach to Thai Cooking. Exclusive to Fresh Prep, chef An describes the classic dish as, "extremely popular in Thailand, but less known in North America. It's my go-to lunch because of the rich smoky flavour—we call it wok breath—that the noodles pick up from a well-seasoned wok."
The kit includes savoury beef, fresh gai lan, smoky soy sauce, thick rice noodles and crispy shallots. All ingredients are pre-cut and measured, making the recipe quick (under 30 minutes) and easy to prep. The kit also includes cooking instructions printed on a recipe card and a link to a video tutorial led by Chef An.
