Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (150 g) B.C. blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • ¾ cup (175 ml) unsweetened soy, rice or almond milk
  • ½ cup (75 g) banana, chopped
  • ½ cup (20 g) fresh spinach leaves, packed
  • ½ cup (120 ml) grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) ground flax seeds

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until smooth.

Makes 3 ½ cups

 

 

Blueberry Pineapple Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (150 g) B.C. blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup (240 ml) light unsweetened coconut or almond milk
  • ¾ cup (175 ml) plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup (35 g) pineapple chunks, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) maple syrup
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) fresh ginger, finely grated
  • ¼ tsp (pinch) ground turmeric (optional)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen fruit, allow to partially thaw or add water to thin out as desired.
  2. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.

Makes 3 cups
