Garlic Roasted Broccoli

Whip up this easy broccoli side dish in just a few minutes

Bake your broccoli instead of frying it to up the health factor

Delicious side dishes don’t get any simpler than this roasted broccoli

Makes 6 servings


  • 2 broccoli heads, florets only
  • 2 tsp. / 10 mL extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp. / 2.5 mL salt
  • ½ tsp. / 2.5 mL ground pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ tsp. / 2.5 mL lemon juice


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F/205°C.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the florets with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic.
  3. Spread the florets evenly on a baking sheet. Bake until they are tender – about 15 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a serving platter and finish with a liberal sprinkling of lemon juice.
