Container food (mint pots)

I make few exceptions to this rule. I feel more secure with these spready plants when growing them in five gallon pots. These come into the greenhouse for winter protection and are put outside again after danger of hard frosts.

I renew these pots every year by splitting the mint up and replanting only three small well-rooted sections. By the end of the year I have another pot full of mint for drying for soothing winter teas.

I grow the following mints: (it’s fun making up mint blends!) Ginger, fruit, apple, chocolate, basil, lavender, spearmint, black peppermint, true English mint, strong English mint, pineapple-apple, and Moroccan mint.
