Direct seeding

Who can resist the sight of mass displays of poppies, calendula, corn marigolds, phacelia, borage or nasturtiums in flower?

Not me!

Calendula

Especially when I know that all I have to do is sprinkle seeds where I want them to bloom. Even though they self-seed readily, I get the best displays from direct seeding in mid-spring.
