Weed Control for the Vegetable Garden

Q: Our vegetable garden was taken over by weeds this summer, and I could not keep up with it. Is there something I can do to the plot this fall to prevent getting weeds (or at least lessen the amount) next spring?

Your problem is a common and frustrating one, but there are solutions. From my perspective the best weed control I ever discovered was mulching, particularly where a vegetable patch is concerned. I hope this article I wrote on the topic is of some help to you. I would also suggest getting an early start with your vegetables so that they have a chance to start growing before the weeds get going.
