Vancouver’s Winter Farmers Markets hosts local, producer-direct vendors selling high-quality produce, meats, cheese and prepared foods

Saturday, November 7 was opening day for the 2009–10 season of the Winter Farmers Markets in Vancouver.

At the market, located at Victoria Dr and Adanac St, find local, producer-direct vendors selling high-quality produce, meat, cheese and prepared foods every week. Experts are always on hand as well to give tips and inspiration for gardeners and guidance for shoppers.

Each week, the market also features hot food and coffee, entertainment, artisans selling quality local goods like jewellery and body care products, and information about local happenings.

The market is a great place to meet friends, get to know your neighbours and enjoy all that is best about the Vancouver-Lower Mainland community. And it’s a great place to find those heirloom varieties of mushrooms, garlic, carrots, meats, eggs and more (including frozen blueberries from last summer’s harvest)!
