Marshmallows made better by way of chocolate and caramel coatings

Marshmallows are all the rage — not the bagged variety used for roasting on camping trips, but the true hand-cut, homemade ones

These are easily purchased at good gourmet stores. The dipping is easy, colourful, whimsical and a fun alternative to Easter eggs. And the rewards are all smiles!

Ingredients

  • 16 vanilla marshmallows (hand-cut variety)

  • 1 cup good-quality chocolate, melted

  • 16 sucker sticks

Dipping Ideas

  • Toasted coconut

  • Coloured sanding sugar

  • White chocolate shavings

  • Silver dragees

  • Chopped toasted nuts

Instructions

  1. Skewer each marshmallow with a sucker stick and dip it halfway into the melted chocolate.
  2. Then roll it in your choice of dipping items.

Makes 16 dipped marshmallows.
