We're showcasing Vancouver's best restaurants and special menu items—and why they should be your next takeout option
Restaurant: Maxine’s Café and Bar
Location: 1325 Burrard Street, Vancouver
The Dish: New happy hour and dinner service
The Details: The West End’s newest bistro, Maxine’s, has officially announced the beginning of their happy hour and dinner service, running Thursdays through Sundays. The casual yet stunning corner bistro has been serving breakfast, brunch and lunch since they opened their doors in April, and—after great success—are now expanding into the evening. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., happy hours will feature discounts on lively cocktails, pints and house wine, alongside fresh shucked oysters, and a menu of shared plates and nibbles. The dinner menu—created by the locale’s top chef Bobby Milheron—features elevated favourites like linguine alle vongole, steak frites and grilled white salmon. As a bonus, mouthwatering desserts include cinnamon French toast.
