We're showcasing Vancouver's best restaurants and special menu items—and why they should be your next meal
Restaurant: Trattoria
Location: 757 Main Street, Park Royal South, West Vancouver
The Dish: New spring and summer offerings
The Details: Trattoria is always the perfect spot to refuel after a busy day of shopping at Park Royal—but the Glowbal Group restaurant’s new seasonal menu makes it worth the trip even if you’re not visiting the mall.
Known for their classic Italian fare, lively location and great service, Trattoria has a number of exciting new menu items available this spring and summer featuring locally sourced ingredients. Highlights include: Fresh B.C. Halibut on Milanese Risotto (pictured above) with brown butter, caper and lemon sauce (so wonderfully comforting), Mushroom Ravioli in Porcini Broth Sauce with gem tomato, peas, goat cheese (rich and delicious), and Seared Tuna Salad (pictured at bottom) with marinated potato, Tuscan olives, green beans, lemon and aioli, among many others.Clockwise from top: The must-order Brussels sprouts with lemon, capers, chillies and Parmesan cheese; Fresh B.C. Halibut on Milanese Risotto; and Mushroom Ravioli
Can’t decide on just one dish? Trattoria offers up platters for two or more guests, including the famous Pasta Platter (Truffled Spaghetti and Signature Meatballs, Linguine Gamberi, Penne Arrabbiata, Linguine Carbonara) for $25 per person; and The Carne Platter (Beef Striploin, Chicken Milanese, Garlic Prawns, Risotto, Dill Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Brussels Sprouts) for $39 per person.
If you’re looking for family-friendly dining, Trattoria also offers a wonderful kids’ menu with all dishes priced at just $9 (and you’ll likely take home some leftovers), including classics like Linguine Alfredo, Spaghetti Pomodoro and Mac & Cheese. Plus, make the most of weekly dining with offerings like Tratt Tuesdays ($16 for all pasta) and Wine Wednesdays (50 percent off all bottles of red, white and bubbly).
Trattoria Park Royal is open for lunch and dinner service Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for brunch, lunch and dinner service.
