Mamie’s Low Country NYE Pig Roast and Jamboree, 251 East Georgia Street, Vancouver

New Year’s Eve revellers with plans for a midnight meet-up can start on a delicious note with Burdock & Co‘s “New Year’s Lite” seating at 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ($69 per person, plus tax and gratuity), featuring a menu of lighter plates to set the celebratory mood for the rest of the evening. Whistler’s Araxi Restaurant offers a memorable night of spectacular food and wine with lively music and a midnight countdown.

In Vancouver, CinCin Ristorante and Blue Water Cafe will be offering diners and an à la carte menu and special seasonal additions. Kitsilano neighbourhood gem Au Comptoir will help revellers usher in the new year with a celebratory four-course menu featuring West Coast-inspired French fare from Chef Dan McGee. Celebrated locavore chef David Gunawan will present a unique New Year’s Eve feast at acclaimed South Granville restaurant Farmer’s Apprentice by offering a duo of seasonally-inspired menus: omnivore and herbivore. An earlier 5:30 p.m. seating features a six-course menu ($70 omnivore/$60 herbivore per person plus tax and gratuity), while their late seating at 8 p.m. will offer a seven-course menu ($90 omnivore/$80 herbivore per person plus tax and gratuity).

Inspired by Gunawan’s farm-to-table philosophy, both menus place a premium on supporting local farms, pastures and producers, and feature wine by the glass or bottle with an exclusively natural and organic focus. The Salted Vine Kitchen + Bar is inviting merrymakers and revellers to welcome 2017 in style by taking part in one of two exclusive New Year’s Eve seatings at the new Squamish restaurant. The first seating begins at 5:30 p.m. and features a four-course menu for $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity), while the second seating begins at 8 p.m. with a five-course menu for $89 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

The first New Year’s Eve seating begins at 5:30 pm and features six courses for $70 per person, plus tax and gratuity, while the second seating takes place at 8 p.m. and includes nine courses for $100 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Head up the highway to experience Fairmont Chateau Whistler‘s Macdonald Ballroom transform into a sparkling winter wonderland for the New Year’s Eve Dinner + Dance Gala. Chef Isabel Chung will be providing an opulent buffet dinner, which is followed by an evening of dancing when The Famous Players Band will again deliver a lively performance of the best party songs.
