Tourism Vancouver presents ‘Be a Tourist in Your Own Town’ month

Has it been a while since you checked out Science World or the UBC Botanical Garden? Or maybe you’ve never taken a Stanley Park Horse-Drawn Tour or visited the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre?

Well here’s your chance – if you missed it, May is Be A Tourist In Your Own Town month. All month Tourism Vancouver will be offering locals two free tickets to Vancouver’s most touristic draws.

How it works

At 7 a.m. each day an “attraction of the day” will be announced on their website. If you are up early enough and are quick on the download you can score two tickets for the next day.

The fine print

Throughout the month, more than 30,000 free admission tickets to various city venues will be distributed, but each person only gets two. The free tickets are only valid on the next day—so don’t download unless you can make it. The “attraction of the day” will be announced on Tourism Vancouver’s website, Twitter and Facebook page. And the last attraction will be announced on May 28. Have fun!!
